I created the "Era en Abril" Foundation a year after the death of my first daughter, Sofía, who was barely two months old. Since I couldn't find help, groups or professionals specialized in perinatal grief in Latin America, I created the group to help other people not to go through grief alone. The community helped thousands of people who lost their babies and helped break down the taboo that perinatal death represents. In addition, the group participated in various research and international conferences to improve care related to bereavement and the prevention of perinatal death.
